We are recruiting volunteer staff to support the operation of the 2nd Tokyo International Fencing Competition and its pre-event training camp.

This tournament is a place for international exchange centered in Chofu City, where many athletes from Japan and abroad gather.

1. Tournament Overview

• Tournament Name: The 2nd Tokyo International Fencing Competition (TIFC2026)
• Organizer: Chofu City Fencing Association

2. Activity Schedule and Venue Details

The activities consist of two phases: the “Pre-event Training Camp” and the “Main Tournament.”

[A] Pre-event Training Camp Support (3 days)

• Dates: Wednesday, August 12, 2026 – Friday, August 14, 2026
• Assembly / End Time: Meet at 8:45 / Ends at 17:00
• Venues: Chofu City General Gymnasium, Mitaka City General Gymnasium (staff will be assigned to each venue)
• Number of Volunteers Needed: Approximately 3 people per venue per day
• Knowledge Requirement: No fencing knowledge is required (reception and guidance duties will be the main tasks).
• Notes: Applicants who can participate for all 3 consecutive days will be given priority.

[B] Main Tournament Operations (4 days)

• Dates: Monday, August 17, 2026 – Thursday, August 20, 2026
• Assembly / End Time: Meet at 8:00 / Scheduled to end at 18:00 (may vary depending on the first day and assigned duties)
• Venue: Keio Arena TOKYO
• Number of Volunteers Needed: Approximately 60-70 people in total (about 20-25 people per day)

3. Recruitment Teams

③ Match Operations Support Team	Roll call in the call room, responding to competition-related questions from athletes.	Knowledge/experience recommended
④ Secretariat Support Team	General secretariat work, technical support, and troubleshooting.	Knowledge/experience required

4. Compensation and Benefits

• Transportation Stipend: JPY 3,000 per day
• Meals: Lunch (boxed meal) and a light evening snack will be provided
• Items Provided: Staff pass and staff uniform will be provided on loan
• Other: A volunteer activity certificate can be issued upon request

5. Participation Requirements and Notes

• Applicants must be high school students or older.
• Applicants must agree to comply with the “Chofu City Fencing Association Volunteer Registration Terms.”
• To ensure the smooth operation of the tournament, we ask that all participants act responsibly and avoid being late or absent.
• Photos and videos taken during the tournament may be used on the Association’s official social media accounts, newsletters, and other publicity materials.

• July: Team-specific work details briefing (online)
• August: Final confirmation before the event
