Both arenas will be used for this tournament.
Detailed locations for competition areas, registration, call rooms, etc. will be announced at the venue on the day of the event. Participants must follow the instructions of tournament staff.
4. Events and Categories
【Individual Fencing Events】
- Weapons: Foil / Épée / Sabre
- Categories: U8, U10, U12, U14, U17, O40, O50, O60, O70
All categories will include Foil, Épée, and Sabre events.
Competitions will generally be held separately for men and women, but may be combined depending on the number of participants.
【Para Fencing (Individual)】
- Weapons: Épée / Foil / Sabre
- Category: Mixed gender (15 years and older)
The specific competition dates and events are listed in Section 5.
【Team Competition】
- Categories: U17 Team, U14 Team
- Team Composition and Registration:
- A mixed-weapon team consisting of one athlete from each discipline (foil, épée, and sabre), for a total of three members.
- Up to two reserves (substitutes) may be registered per team.
【Pre-Veteran (PV) Division】
- Events: Foil / Épée / Sabre
- Eligibility: Ages 23 to under 40 (based on age as of December 31, 2025)

- Veterans (O-40 to O-70) and pre-veterans will start in the afternoon for all dates.
- Overage entries to the next higher category in the same event are possible.
- You can enter in one category per day, up to a maximum of four categories.
- Please check the table below for age and birth year standards by category.

6. Eligibility, Age Categories, Entry Limits
- Open to all nationalities.
- Age categories are determined based on the participant’s age as of December 31, 2025.
- Participants may compete in only one category per day.
- Participants may compete in a maximum of four categories during the tournament.
- Eligibility Categories for Team Events:
- U17 Team: Open to anyone 17 years old or younger.
- U14 Team: Open to anyone 14 years old or younger who is in elementary school or above.
- Important Notes Regarding Pre-Veterans (PV):
- Due to limited participation slots, please register as soon as possible if you wish to participate.
Depending on participation numbers, categories may be combined by gender or age.
The organizer reserves the right to make adjustments if necessary.
7. Registration and Entry Fees
- Entry Period: April 15, 2026 – July 15, 2026
- Payment Deadline: July 20, 2026
- Entry Fee:
- Residents of Japan: 1 category: 10,000 JPY: Additional category: 3,000 JPY per category
- Overseas participants: 1 category: 100 USD: Additional category: 30 USD per category
- Team Entry Fee (per team):
- Teams based in Japan: 20,000 yen
- Teams based overseas: 200 USD
- Team Entry Limit (Maximum Number of Teams):
- For both categories (U17 and U14), registration will close once the maximum of 20 teams (on a first-come, first-served basis) is reached.
Maximum entry is four categories.
Entry fees are non-refundable.
8. Competition Flow
1.Call (Attendance Confirmation)
All categories require a call before the competition. Participants entering multiple categories must complete the call for each category.
2.Call Room Assembly
Participants must report to the call room 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.
3.Calling Procedure
Athletes will be called twice. If the athlete does not appear on the piste, the bout will be declared a forfeit.
4.End of Bout
A bout is officially finished when both fencers shake hands.
5.After Pool Round
Participants must confirm the results on the score sheet and sign it according to the referee’s instructions. Once signed, results cannot be changed.
6.Team Competition: Specific Rules (Determining Match Order)
To determine the match order for the team competition, both teams will roll dice on the day of the competition. The order of matches for each discipline (foil, épée, and sabre) will be decided on the spot based on the dice roll.
9. Competition Management
- Match progress, pairings, schedules, and results will be managed using Fencing Time.
- Information will be available through a web browser.
- Participants and coaches must check the information regularly.
- The final decisions regarding match progress and judgments will follow the instructions of tournament officials and referees.
- After the pool round, direct elimination matches will be held. All participants will advance to the elimination round.
10. Spectating and Filming Rules
- Spectating:
During elimination matches, only the athletes and their coaches involved in the match may enter the designated bench area.
Spectating inside the competition area during pool rounds is not permitted. - Filming:
In restricted areas, filming is allowed only with a tripod and unattended video recording.
Photography and video recording are permitted in the spectator seats. - Protests Based on Video:
Protests based on recorded photos or videos are strictly prohibited.
Video refereeing will not be used in this tournament. All referee decisions are final.
11. Contact Information Registration
- All participants must register a valid email address and mobile phone number during entry.
- The tournament office may contact participants during the event if necessary.
- Important announcements and updates will be sent to the registered email address.
12. Accreditation (AD Pass)
- An AD pass will be issued to the athlete and one accompanying person.
- The application method for accompanying AD passes will be announced later.
- Access to areas inside the venue varies depending on the pass type.
- Entering unauthorized areas is prohibited.
13. Equipment Regulations
This tournament follows the latest FIE regulations.
Safety management follows FIE Rules Book 1 Chapter 4 “Fencers’ Equipment”.

【Mandatory for All Categories】
- An 800N FIE-certified underarm protector (plastron) is mandatory.
- Mask Retention System (Double Band Requirement):
For safety management, all categories (U8–U17, Veteran, PV, and Para) are required to wear masks equipped with a “Double Band (FIE-compliant retention system)” that secures the back of the head doubly. Traditional single-band masks or masks with loose straps due to deteriorated elastic will not be permitted.
【U8, U10, U12】
- No blade restrictions
- Masks: 350N can be used (1600N recommended).
- 350N uniforms allowed
- Plastic chest protector with soft cover: Mandatory for female fencers
- Name or national marking on uniforms is not required but recommended.
【U14, U17】
- No blade restrictions
- 1600N masks required
- 800N uniforms recommended (350N allowed)
- Plastic chest protector with soft cover: Mandatory for female fencers
- Name or national marking is recommended but not required.
【O40, O50, O60, O70 (Veterans), PV】
- No blade restrictions
- 1600N masks
- 800N uniforms
- Plastic chest protector with soft cover mandatory for female fencers.
- Name or national marking recommended.
【Para Fencing】
- The tournament follows the latest IWAS rules.
- Equipment must comply with IWAS regulations.
14. Equipment Inspection
- No pre-event equipment inspection will be conducted.
- Referees will inspect uniforms, protectors, and masks on the piste before the bout.
- If equipment is deemed unsuitable, a yellow card warning will be issued and the equipment must be replaced immediately.
15. Important Notices
Health and Safety
Participants with medical conditions such as heart disease, arrhythmia, diabetes, hypertension, epilepsy, respiratory diseases, or other conditions that may affect competition must consult their physician before participating.
If symptoms such as dizziness, chest pain, palpitations, breathing difficulty, numbness, dehydration, fever, or extreme fatigue occur, participants are strongly advised to withdraw.
Liability and Insurance
The organizer will provide first aid for injuries or illness during the tournament. However, the organizer is not responsible for incidents caused by pre-existing conditions.
Emergency transport may be arranged if necessary, but subsequent medical treatment and costs are the responsibility of the participant.
Participants and coaches must obtain personal accident insurance and personal liability insurance.
Compliance with Venue Rules
Practicing outside designated areas is strictly prohibited.
If discovered, the organizer may revoke the participant’s eligibility to compete.
Personal Information
Personal information collected during registration will be used only for tournament management.
Photos and videos taken at the venue may be used for venue announcements, participant lists and results on the website, and tournament reports.
If participants have special requests regarding personal information or photos, they should write them in the remarks section of the entry form.

- Changing rooms are available in the gymnasium.
- Please follow the instructions of tournament staff regarding luggage placement.
- Only athletes and accompanying coaches may enter the competition area.
- Other groups may also use the facility. Please behave respectfully.
- Participants are responsible for their own valuables.
